Wine from Palestine

Wine production in Palestine can be traced back several thousand years and the tradition is carried on by the founders of Taybeh Brewing Co. who in 2014 established Tahbeh Winery.
We asked them to send us two of their best wines, and we have. Initially only in limited quantities, but if you like them we will bring home more wine from the West Bank.

Nadim Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, elegant and complex wine that exhibits flavors of local spices and ripe cherries. Its balanced acidity and persistent tannins allow this wine to age effortlessly for years. Although Nadim Cabernet is ready to be enjoyed, it will improve significantly with a few years of bottle aging. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, which adds to its complexity. This wine pairs well with a rich beef stew, grilled lamb chops or grilled steak. Try this wine with kebab halabi or kibbeh bi-siniyeh. Best enjoyed at room temperature.

Nadim Zeini Blanc is made with the local Palestinian grape Zeini. It is a pleasant wine with a fragrant aroma of ripe apple and pear. Its bold acidity and unique character from the special grape make this wine refreshing for a hot Palestinian or Danish summer. This wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. It is ready to be consumed immediately. The wine's unique rich and long finish makes it a wonderful complement to grilled chicken and vegetables.
