Thank you very much for your support in 2024!
It's been a good year for warfair . We reached a turnover of 1.5 million kroner (excl. VAT). Our direct sales on the website in 2024 increased by 34 percent compared to 2023. This is largely because of you! And we have gained a number of new retailers and restaurants who are buying more and more.
It has also been a good year for many of the companies we do business with. Despite extremely difficult conditions, they have delivered a number of new quality products in 2024:
- Mango Brooks from Burkina Faso;
- Dried Herati plums, Herati glass and embroidered shoulder bags from Afghanistan;
- Organic coffee capsules, several chocolates and chocolate-covered peanuts from DR Congo;
- A new shipment of sesame from Somalia after several years of extreme drought;
- A range of unique coffees from Yemen, sold as a very special offer.
And we have found a new good company, Taybeh, which supplies a number of fantastic goods from Palestine: Olive oil, freekeh, couscous, beer and wine.
But it has also been a very difficult year for the people in all the countries we import from. Conflicts have flared up in Burkina Faso, DR Congo, Myanmar, Somalia, Palestine, Yemen and oppression has become increasingly worse, especially for women, in Afghanistan.
Everywhere they work hard to make it a success. And we have been really happy every time we have been able to place a new order and contribute to creating jobs and income in the midst of conflict and chaos. You have supported that. And we hope you have also enjoyed the unique quality products!
We hope 2025 will be more peaceful than the old year.
