Tasty sesame from Somalia

Somalia was one of Africa's largest producers of Sesame. But when the conflict with the terrorist movement al-Shabab really broke out, production and exports dropped significantly. It is now slowly returning and Somalia's farmers produce good and tasteful sesame.

We have been working on this sesame for the past six months to get to Denmark. We have, after a lot of trouble and some help from the Danish Embassy in Nairobi, received samples of samples from a number of companies, and we have tested and tested the samples together with The roller mill.

We have now found a good business in Somalia, Like Seed Agri, who can deliver good and tasty sesame. The last obstacle is to get the company certified after the international food standard, HACCP. We have started this process with the company and an international certification agency. With some luck, the certification is ready in the first quarter of 2021 and then we can order the first container with sesame seeds.
